Top Tech Awards

Throughout the year each student will take a number of 10 question quizzes that they will be graded on and ranked against their piers.  We call these quizzes CSQs.  These CSQs are composed of a real car case study and a 10 question quiz that relates to the diagnosis of the car in the case study.  This is done to help everyone understand how the car was diagnosed and what steps should be taken to diagnose a certain problem.  At the end of the year all the quizzes are graded and a Top Tech and Runner up are awarded to the two highest scorers for each class.

First Year Training

Our First Year program helps techs get the basics of circuit analysis and scope use.  We cover everything from using a DMM up to looking at complex waveforms using a scope.  We require all students, even experienced ones, to go through this program because without proper circuit and signal analysis skills they will fall behind in the following class groups.  We stress using a scope at the correct times to be able to accurately diagnose problems the first time.
